How do you look at it?

The difference between winning and losing can hang on a delicate thread.

Those who have followed this blog faithfully will know that I have enjoyed softball very much. I have been an Ontario champion three times and a finalist twice. I have also been an Alberta champion and a finalist once.

In every case, each team was capable of winning the championship. All of these teams had talented players.

What I noticed through the years was the attitude we adopted before playing in the final series.

When we won, we concentrated on how we were going to win.

When we lost, we focused on not trying to lose.

Now, you might say that not losing and winning are the same thing. When you are talking about your state of mine, they aren’t however. One anticipates victory. The other doesn’t.
