Sometimes it happens after dark
When the thunder signals rain
And the sky is filled with sparks
Sometimes it’s in the laughter of a child
As she’s running down a hill
And acting kind of wild

My life amazes me
Each and every day
There’s always something new to see
I discover things I never knew
But no matter what I do
I spend all of my sometimes with you

Sometimes it's the loon upon a lake
When it gives its lonely call
And it makes the silence shake so strong
Sometimes it’s the dust on a country road
As it takes you far away from me
And my heart is about to explode
