Tourists to Canada

My penpal, her husband and her daughter have been in Canada for one week. I have been busy showing them around.

It is alway interesting to hear their impressions of my country.

I am happy that they find the people very pleasant and the countryside beautiful, but that is to be expected. I could have predicted these.

What is interesting are the differences that are not so obvious.

Karl made the comment today that Canadians must have good teeth. He noticed that there are signs for dentists everywhere. While we were driving around in the car, he made his point by pointing out every one he saw. Sure enough, it seemed every minute there was a sign for a dentist.

We head into Toronto tomorrow. I will be interested in hearing their comments about the big city.
