It all started on August 23. That’s the day I decided to start my blog. The goal was to try to write something every day for at least a year and see where it led me. The journey has been interesting.
Today’s entry is all about celebrating. This is the 100th article I have written and I feel like throwing a party.
In life we often forget to celebrate. Sure, we all go through some rough patches, but when the time comes to mark some occasion, we should do it in style.
Often life gets in the way. We have to do this or that and there just isn’t enough time. So what? Get out there and whoop it up anyway.
Every weekend my mother would make a cake. Sunday night was cake night. We would eat it while watching Ed Sullivan. However, there would be cake left. That cake was used to celebrate. I got a good mark in school? Have a piece of cake. I hit a home run in softball? Have a piece of cake. Whatever happened, we seemed to find some reason to heighten the joy of the moment.
So come join me in my celebration. Seriously, I know a few who read my blog, but I have no idea how many of you are out there. Why not leave a comment and join the fun?
